Thoughtful Thursday - October 7th

Well it feels like FOREVER!!! Welcome back to Thoughtful Thursday - The Monthly Edition. Each month we’ll have a round-up of clinic news, hopefully a podcast or two, possibly some learning, as well as a VERY appropriately timed Shameless Plug from Harpreet… Read on for deets (‘tis long, be warned)!

Clinic Updates
First of all, thank you all for continuing to come in to look after yourselves as things seem to begin to settle down. There’s still a lot of stress in the community and we've all been a bit up and down, but it is totally ok to still feel like that. However, we hope things are levelling out a bit for you all now but if it isn’t, and if we can help in any way, please do let us know. 😊 (Also, can you pretty please keep your masks on while coming to visit us – it is still a requirement when attending medical facilities.)

There has been a lot of change at our clinics over the last few months, so to remind everyone of the comings and goings…

Fulham MH: Mike and Georgie have joined us full-time and yes, Sammy is still in Australia (doing Bec’s maternity cover at Seed Chiropractic – if you know, you know!). We also moved house to, err, Marvic House in Fulham from our original home on Wandsworth Bridge Road (more on that later). Laura and Bailey are still there to welcome you at the desk with some help from Andrea.

Fulham WBR: We have turned our original chiro home into a Massage & Sports Therapy clinic! Our massage and sports therapists Robyn, Clea and Alex are there to look after you (but we don’t have any chiros there as we don’t have the right equipment anymore, sorry!). We also offer Massage & Sports Therapy in our Kew and Marylebone locations, too.

Kew: Paul is business as usual but as he is so busy, we are pestering him to add a Wednesday morning now he can’t play golf in this weather! Gopal has changed his hours to a Monday-Saturday pattern. Brad is currently on sabbatical in South Africa and we are unsure when/if he will return, so Gopal and Paul will be available to look after you instead, or we can help transfer your care to another of our locations if that’s easier for you. On the Massage & Sports Therapy front, Alex and Carina are now providing their services 7 days a week! Kayleigh and Harpreet are looking after the desk while Roger has departed us to head back to uni. ☹️

Tooting: Michael is business as usual, with the addition of a Wednesday morning to his schedule. He has been joined by Sydney and Amy-Lou. Erana and Zara have both fled the country and we wish them all the best. Kate, Matilda and ‘Pearl’ are here to meet and greet you, while Megan has moved on to a fab new position at a gym. Niamh is also joining us from the Fulham team, please make her feel welcome. 😊

Marylebone: The team are soldiering on with Luke, Katie and Filippo, plus some extended availability for Massage & Sports Therapy with Iskander, Tallulah and Darryl. Tom and Ramiz are in running the front desk, while Lucy has changed her hours now that she is in clinic for her final year of her Chiro Degree – we are all REALLY excited for her!

Putney: Ami, Bryan, George and Grant are here as usual, with Don providing a blast from the past twice-a-week cameo and Antipodean Gareth joining us a couple of days a week as well. Yes, Craig is here, but only on Wednesday afternoons. At reception, Katie, Meagan and Shennae have been joined by Rhys.

Holidays
Short and sharp this month. Everyone is here, except for Filippo from Marylebone, who is currently off for a break and back on Wednesday 14th.

Given holidays are ending and all the team being back, would definitely encourage everyone to get clear on recommendations and pre-book your care. We are fully booked in some places well in advance and we don’t want you to be disappointed if we cannot fit you in.

THE POD IS BACK
The pod – proudly brought to you by Ground Coffee Society – IS BACK! (For how long… who knows?)

Craig chats with Angus Pyke, an Aussie chiro and wellness speaker, on all things chiropractic and how the last 18 months have unfolded Down Under.

The episode will soon be available on our website, Spotify, Apple and Google.

Shameless Plug
Thanks to everyone who took advantage of our Massage & Sports Therapy offer last month! The feedback (both positive and constructive criticism) has been fantastic. If you would like to support them further, you can review your therapist here for Kew, here for Fulham, here for Marylebone – please name drop them). Check out any other promos we are offering on our offers page.

This month’s plug is actually amazing and EXTREMELY well-timed if you are a car owner right now. It comes courtesy of Harpreet, who runs our front desk at Kew and is ‘wheelie’ excited to share this with you…

Hi there, I’m Harpreet Kaur from our Kew clinic, and when I’m not on the front desk, I love a freebie!

As a chiro student myself at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic, it’s super important that I keep fit and embrace a balanced lifestyle. Healthy living isn’t always easy, especially when you get into a routine. And it isn’t always £££ friendly. So, Tesco’s “Every Little Helps” is more of a lifestyle at this point.

A great way to stay motivated on your journey to optimal health and wellbeing is to encourage novelty in your life, change it up, try to make the little things exciting.

So when our good friend Jessica from @thegoodlife.bike in Richmond showed me around, I knew it was a little adventure waiting to happen! The guys over at The Good Life Bike are electric bike specialists and offer emission free travel (we love a carbon-neutral find). But here’s the really good part – want to have a ride? They’ve got you covered with free test rides!

I popped in store to do just that. I got to borrow the Riese & Müller Superdelite for the day. I took it for a spin in Richmond Park, and it was a fun way to get the body moving and some much-needed fresh air.

Did I mention they’re SUPER fast? It’s a lifesaver if your legs give up mid-ride, especially if you’re post-leg day and struggling a wee bit – trust me, I’ve been there!

Drop them a line at hello@thegoodlife.bike if you’d like to try an e-bike for yourself.

That was a pretty cool way to finish things up this month. LOVE a bit of kitche enviro-friendly inspo.

Hope you're all safe and well and look forward to seeing you again next month!

Drew
