Mindful Monday - April 25th

Hello and good morning!

Big weekend? Fun times? What are your seven favourite things that happened? Why?

“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
Arthur Ashe

Totally hear you, AA. We can all apply this.

What are your circumstances? What do you love about your life and what would you like to modify or evolve?

Figuring this out can be a life-long journey, but like all journeys it starts with the first step. Taking stock of your current situation may sound simple, but it can be a bit daunting if you haven’t put much thought into it before.

Start by taking an honest look at how you spend most of your time and where most of your energy is directed. Is it work? Family? Netflix? If you were to look back at yourself from the future, would you be happy with how you spend most of your time these days? What might you do more or less of?

Pen and paper… ready… set… go!

Pencil art
Art from pencils, what’s the big deal? Well, when the actual pencil is the art, things get super cool and intricate. Check this out on Insta to see patience and skill at its best.

Oxygen to turn back the clock
This study suggests that hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases the DNA buffer bits in our cells and helps clean up decaying cells, essentially making some cells “younger”. The Wellness Lab has more on this, take a look here.

A few good reads
Taking a good hard look at your life can be daunting (see above), but so can figuring out which books to read. Fear not, for our friends over at Form have put together their top 12 life-changing reads right here. How Not to Die, The Power of Now and Atomic Habits are my faves.

And finally…

Magic tricks revealed
Zach King is an illusionist with a comedy streak a mile long. In this compilation Zach gives us a glimpse behind the magic curtain!

Have a great day!

Big love,
Luke
