Causes of back pain
There are many factors that can contribute to spinal pain, however in the absence of trauma or injury, sedentary lifestyle and poor posture are certainly big players in the game. With desk-based jobs increasing in our technology-focused times, people are spending up to 10 hours per day sitting and staring at a screen. As humans, are bodies are designed to be moving throughout the day.
Our body responds and adapts on a daily basis to stresses we are exposed to, most of this happens without us even noticing it. But if something does not work the way it should we suddenly get a wakeup call.
Back pain can be debilitating and emotionally distressing, but with the help of your chiropractor this can be addressed naturally and effectively.
At Putney Chiropractic we will listen to your concerns, perform a thorough examination possibly take a spinal X-ray all to find the cause of your back pain. Once a cause has been established we will outline a course of action, bespoke to you. Like at any chiropractor we perform specific spinal adjustments which manipulate the spine back to its normal level of movement and function.
Managing stresses to the spine and body is also very important – including the physical (falls, overtraining, no movement), emotional (stress, depression etc) and chemical (bad diet and products we use). Movement is also super important. We have a great series of exercises to help take your spine through its full range of movement everyday.
