Mindful Monday - July 4th

Hello and welcome to July. Yep, July. Wow.

Summer is here, travel is a thing, and the world beckons. I hope you have some fun plans to get excited about.

Pack like a pro
How many times has a trip been derailed by forgetting to bring xxx? Or have you sat on the plane and wondered if you remembered to pop in the extra pair of…? Well, those days and worries are a thing of the past with Packr. Packr is the ultimate packing companion and is sure to help put your mind at ease…

Listen up
Fun audio books are plentiful these days and none more so than Mark Hayden’s King’s Watch series. Book 8, Six Furlongs, just dropped on Audible. However, if you’d prefer a swift kick in the butt to get yourself fired up, look no further than the hardest man on the planet – aka David Goggins – and his book Can’t Hurt Me. Each chapter also includes bonus material and more real-life applications from the man himself. Brilliant.

Fancy bird houses
While some of us may be dreaming of setting course for a beautiful hotel or villa in the sun, who’s to say that birds don’t want the same? Here are some examples of what a bird may look for in a holiday aviary.

No more flying?
We’ve all heard the recent horror stories and perils of plane travel, so what is the alternative? What does a world without (or with significantly less) plane travel look like? According to Science Direct, just 11% of the global population took a flight in 2018 and, at most, only 4% took an international flight. Read more here – maybe it wouldn’t be that bad after all?

And finally…

Lava lamps for security
In the world of cyber security random numbers are king, as they make it very difficult for hackers to decode information. But generating real randomness is easier said than done; enter Lava Lamps. Cloudflare is monitoring the constantly changing patterns in 100 lava lamps to supply random numbers, which can then be used to generate security keys. So retro.

Have a fab week!

Big love,
Luke
