For some, summer brings an opportunity to take on some healthy changes. Maybe it’s starting a new exercise regime or eating a little lighter? Whatever it may be, now is a great time to build some momentum!

Healthy brains
The stats for long-term brain health can make for slightly worrying reading, with a large portion of adults likely to experience some degree of cognitive decline. But fear not! There is plenty we can do now to fortify our lovely grey matter. Brain-friendly Mediterranean diets (yum!) and more sleep can really help. Read more here.

Longevity certainly is a buzz topic in the world of health research these days and thankfully the focus isn’t just increasing years of life, but also quality of life. Dr. Valter Longo is the leading authority on how best to tweak our eating habits to help promote a longer and healthier life. His book is great, as is this simple run down of things to aim for.

Women’s training
Guess what? Research has shown that women aren’t men. I know, right? Well, it turns out that there’s real benefit to women syncing their training to their cycle to help get the most out of their efforts. So Nike has created NikeSync to help women understand their best training strategies. Nice one.
