World Congress of Chiropractic Students

CA Paul at the World Congress of Chiropractic Students in Perth, Australia

The WCCS has been running since 1979 and brings together students from all over the world, from every chiropractic teaching institution to discuss, share and realise their passion for chiropractic. I was lucky enough to be chosen this year to represent The McTimoney College of Chiropractic and jetted out to Perth in Western Australia for two jam-packed weeks of education, political debate and some serious partying!

The congress itself was brilliantly intense. There was a social event every night, which invariably ended in the early hours. Not quite living up to the complete wellness lifestyle we promote as chiropractors but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the greater good! We were then up and ready for the congress which lasted between 8am and 6pm every day, during which time we discussed our vision for the future and how we were going to make that happen. There were over 150 delegates from every continent and the dynamism, diversity and dedication was incredible.

The most exciting part of it all was getting back to the roots of chiropractic and rediscovering how beautifully simple and powerful it truly is. Chiropractors work only with nature. By allowing the innate intelligence systems of the body to function correctly, the incomprehensibly complex forces that created us, regulate us and heal us are able to do their work perfectly and naturally. Being surrounded by so many inspirational, passionate and enthusiastic people reconfirmed how limitless chiropractic care is because it respects and adheres to something much bigger and vital than itself, the principles of nature.
So, all in all it was an amazing experience and it’s so inspiring to come back to PCC to see everyone getting adjusted and becoming better connected to the inborn, natural, infinite potential that we all share! You’re all awesome!
