Dr Edwina has been out and about raising awareness about the dreaded ‘text neck’ and the implications on peoples health, particularly among children.
Her concerns regarding the implications for your health from constant mobile phone use, are supported by the United Chiropractic Association(UCA), which has ensured plenty of media attention.
The research has raised question marks over how it will affect your life expectancy, your posture and breathing patterns as well as the long term effects on your heart.
It is not all doom and gloom as Dr Edwina points out:
‘We can change our habits. For example, restrict the amount of time you spend on mobile devices.
‘And bring them up to your eye level, so that you’re not looking down.
‘A lot of people might not even realize anything is wrong with their posture.’
