“I started visiting Putney Chiropractic in November 2007. I have been a distance runner for over 20 years and a triathlete for 6 but was considering giving up both due to the frustrations I’d long endured through each new injury sustained as a number of chronic physical problems.
After reading that Dr. Craig was himself a triathlete and wanting to be treated by someone who would better understand, not only my physical ailments, but also the mental frustrations, I commenced the necessarily long road to recovery. It has not been an easy road, as at times I felt I was getting worse rather than better. I continued to train through 2008 but found it difficult and unmotivating but with Dr. Craig’s and the other Putney chiropractors’ expertise and encouragement, I feel my physical obstacles have been completely turned around.
After some six months of treatment I felt we all suddenly turned a corner and my back, knee and other injuries have all but disappeared. After more than 10 years of trying I have achieve a life long ambition to run a sub-90 minute half marathon. I also ran a sub 3.5 hour marathon, taking more than 35 minutes off my previous best effort. As of May 2008 I’ve enjoyed achieving 5 personal bests at running and triathlon events and all this on about three quarters of the training volume I have been doing over the last 3 years.
Six months ago, at the age of 46, I was close to giving up sport altogether but today I feel like I have regained the energy I had in my thirties and am once again enjoying the best sporting experiences. Instead of giving up, I am again looking forward to new sporting challenges.
All this has been achieved under the excellent care of Dr. Craig and his colleagues, who have not only alleviated my physical injuries but also improved the worsening temperament I had also been experiencing; the decline of which I believe was also due to the physical problems with which I was suffering. They have, without exception, been extremely motivating.
Quite frankly, today I can’t quite believe how much better I feel, having become so used to being injured and unable to perform as well as I should. Having realized the benefits of chiropractic I’m now looking forward to ongoing treatment and yet more personal best performances.”
