Trailwalker
100km Trek
Not content with such a small distance
as the marathon, Carl, Adrian and Siobhan embarked on a 100km
trek for Oxfam called Trailwalker on 14 July. It is for teams
of four, and can take up to 30 hours of tough conditions,
although our guys completed in around 15 hrs, 44 mins, 22
secs, even setting a mens record on stage 8.
A full report will be coming soon, but for a video of some
highlights checkout this link
to You Tube.
The route was across the South Downs, starting at Petersfield
and ending in Brighton. Teams must stay together for the duration
of the challenge, their physical and mental stamina tested
as they walk or run through the night. More importantly it
is an opportunity to help some of the world's poorest people.
Funds raised are used to support Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare
Trust who share the vision to overcome poverty and suffering.
If you want to sponsor the guys go to their Trailfinder
donation website.
