House of Commons Rugby
Putney Chiropractic Centre together with the United
Chiropractic Association recently sponsored a rugby event
at the Lensbury Club in Teddington. The game was the House
of Commons Rugby team vs New York Athletic Club.
Impact sport
Putney Chiropractic Centre was on hand to assist with advice,
treatment, refreshments and even the loan of a chiropractor
to the home team. Dr Carlyle played half back and enjoyed
dishing out some 'treatment' of a more forceful nature than
normally seen at the practice.
The teams were warned to "take things easy" as there
were several members of advance years, but after the first
few tentative steps caution was thrown to the wind and the
tackles and scrums came thick and fast.
May the best teams win
The House of Commons were the marginal victors. Luckily there
were no serious injuries, and everyone was able to enjoy a
match well played with a beer and excellent lunch afterwards
in the Lensbury.
Later that afternoon most of the teams travelled to Twickenham
to watch the Wallabies give England a rugby lesson much to
the enjoyment of Drs Craig and Carlyle.
