Massage
at Putney Chiropractic Massage
availability
We are now able to offer massage at Putney Chiropractic Centre.
It is not necessary to be a previous client of the practice
to book in for a massage, as the masseurs will take a history
of your general health on your first visit with them. The
cost is £50 for an hour session, and it is necessary
to book as both Anna and Chris are in high demand! Please
call reception on 020 8877 0377.
Massage works extremely well alongside Chiropractic care and
aid recovery from an injury, or can simply help reduce stress
and make you feel great.
Thursday
and Friday massage
Anna Nevill, whom you may know from our front desk, is also
the brains behind Clapham Sports Massage. We are thrilled
to be able to offer her services on a Friday afternoon within
the practice.
Offering both Sports massage and Swedish massage, Anna has
hourly appointments available on Thursday morning 9-12pm and
Friday afternoons from 1pm until 5pm.
Saturday
massage
Chris Sears, a long time client of Putney Chiropractic and
professional sportsman, is now able to offer massage on a
Saturday afternoon from 1pm until 5pm.
Chris Sears is currently training as a sprint kayaker and
doing a part time degree in Sports Science. He qualified as
a sports masseur in 2005 and since has specifically worked
with London Irish RFC, elite middle and long distance runners,
elite kayakers and canoeists as well as plenty of general
sports massage.
"I believe that a combination of sports massage and MET (muscle
energy techniques) can improve performance and general well
being, whether of an elite athlete, a business man or a full
time mum."

Sports
Massage
Despite its name, sports massage is not only for those who
take regular exercise. All of us are likely to suffer from
muscular tension or discomfort at some point in our lives.
Whether it is the result of sitting hunched over a computer,
lifting heavy items, repetitive occupational activities, postural
problems or even a trip or fall, sports massage is very effective
at reducing muscular pain and dysfunction.
For regular athletes, sports massage can also provide a vital
part of your training programme. It can help to decrease your
recovery time between training sessions or from an injury.
Swedish Massage
Lie down and relax while you have your tension and stress
eased away. Leave the clinic feeling relaxed, rejuvenated
and ready to face the world. This slow and relaxing massage
is designed to ease your muscles and your mind at the same
time.
A variety of massage strokes are used in combination to encourage
relaxation in any areas of tension, whilst the sensation of
touch soothes the nervous system, allowing stress to ebb away
and restoring your zest for life.
This can increase the speed of healing within the body, improve
skin tone, increase metabolism and aid in fat breakdown.
