pregnancy & safe delivery
Chiropractic care in pregnancy is an essential
ingredient to your prenatal care choices. At Putney Chiropractic
Centre we see lots of pregnant mums-to-be and strive to offer
you more information about your body, your choices and how
to be on your best form during your pregnancy and birth.
Webster's pregnancy technique is practiced by all the Chiropractors at Putney. This technique is designed to ensure there is minimal uterine/pelvic constraint which can be a factor in your baby being in the breech position. The technique is gentle and does not attempt to physically turn the baby but works on the mum to promote a relaxed pelvis, lower back and uterine ligaments.
Personal recommendations
Many widwives refer their clients to us, and also their new
babies. We are proud that many midwives also visit us for
chiropractic care. Natalie van Rooyen is an independent midwife
with Yours Maternally:
As a Midwife I recommend chiropractic treatment
to all of my client's. In my experience, antenatal adjustments
promote general well being, manage common pregnancy ailments
and improve birth outcomes. Postnatal treatment aids a smooth
recovery for mothers and treatment for babies can improve
feeding and facilitate a calmer child.
The benefits of chiropractic are numerous. I not only advocate
chiropractic treatment for childbearing but as a continuous
lifestyle choice for the entire family. Putney Chiropractic
Centre specialises in pregnancy and newborns and will provide
a professional and family friendly service.

Restore pelvic balance
Doctors of Chiropractic work on your spine and pelvisduring
pregnancy attempting to promote balanced movement and alignment,
together with relaxed muscles and ligaments.
So long as the pelvis is in a balanced state, the ligaments
connected to the uterus maintain an equalized, supportive
suspension for the uterus. If your pelvis is out of balance
in any way, these ligaments become torqued and twisted, causing
a condition known as constraint to your uterus.
